Community Guidelines

murde.rs is for personal expression, not for hurting other people. Make your profile yours, respect the people who visit it, and don't use murde.rs to scam, attack or exploit anyone.
These guidelines cover everything you put on murde.rs: your username, your profile, your links, media, music, notes, polls, showcases and anything else you publish. They are part of the Terms of Service.
1. No harassment or threats
Don't target people with harassment, threats, stalking, or campaigns meant to intimidate or silence them. Disagreeing with someone or criticising them isn't harassment; making a person the target of abuse is.
2. No doxxing
Don't publish or link to someone else's private information without their permission where it could put them at risk: a home address, phone number, private photos, identity documents, financial details, or anything that would help someone find or harm them.
3. No deceptive impersonation
Don't pretend to be another person, brand or organisation in a way that is meant to mislead people, scam them, or harm whoever you're imitating. Fan pages, parody and commentary aren't impersonation when it's clear what they are.
4. No scams, phishing or malware
Don't use your profile, links, notes or uploads for:
- phishing or stealing passwords, logins or other credentials
- scams, fake giveaways or other fraud
- malware or malicious downloads
- links that hide where they really go in order to deceive people
- anything else deliberately built to harm the people who click it
5. Child safety
Never post, link to or ask for sexual content involving anyone under 18, or anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers children. murde.rs removes it and bans the accounts involved.
6. Illegal or seriously harmful content
Don't use murde.rs to carry out or arrange clearly illegal activity, or to encourage people to seriously harm others or themselves.
7. Hate and violent abuse
Don't attack people for who they are, including their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation, and don't threaten or celebrate violence against people. Opinions others find offensive aren't banned by this rule on their own; targeting people with hatred is.
8. Intellectual property
Only post material you have the right to use: images, videos, music, artwork and text. See the Copyright Policy.
9. Platform abuse
Don't:
- get around a ban or restriction, for example with a new account
- abuse sign-up, invites or the waitlist
- look for or exploit vulnerabilities, or try to get into accounts that aren't yours
- inflate views, clicks or poll votes with scripts or other automation
- flood murde.rs with automated traffic, or do anything else meant to harm how it works
10. Usernames
A username is how people find you, not something you own. murde.rs may rename or reclaim a username used for deceptive impersonation or other abuse, one that conflicts with murde.rs's own pages, or where it is needed for security, platform or legal reasons, including trademark claims.
11. Enforcement
Depending on how serious something is and its context, murde.rs may:
- hide content, such as a link, a track or a custom badge
- place a profile under review
- restrict a profile, so it stays up but can't change its username, upload, add links or publish
- rename or reclaim a username
- remove a badge
- correct a view count that was inflated
- suspend or ban an account, for a time or permanently, or deactivate it, which takes its profile offline
murde.rs doesn't promise a warning before acting, and may skip straight to a ban for serious harm.
